I personally love to answer this question. I can not say enough good about it. The people are wonderful, the weather is pleasant, the landscape is beautiful(high desert, mountains, rivers, cacti, yucca and a host of wildlife), rich culture and opportunity. It is one of the best kept secrets in the country.

My family and I recently moved to Rio Rancho. I have lived in California, Arizona, and Oregon. I can honestly say I love living in Rio Rancho. We are with in a short drive to many ski resorts, Santa Fe and its rich culture is only an hour away. We have amazing views of the Sandia Mountains from our back porch. The sunsets in NM are amazing. And the weather can not be beat.
New Mexico also has a wonderful lottery scholarship to all of its colleges and universities available for those with children graduating from High School.
Rio Rancho is a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
