I have had many friends that live out of state that have asked me “Why Rio Rancho?, What makes it such a great place to live?” I simply explain that the economy here has not suffered as much as most other parts of the country. The housing market is number one according to Forbes, home values are holding steady and some are seeing some moderate increases. All this is not to say it is bullet proof but it does give some insight as to why this can be a desirable place.

My wife and I recently moved to Rio Rancho. We have 4 children in 3 different schools (The Mid High, Sandia Vista Elementry, and Colinas Del Norte Elementry). We are very pleased with each of the schools. We have one child in advanced classes, a child we are adopting with behavioral issues, and child who requires speach theropy. The teaching staff has been wonderful! They have gone out their way to insure our childrens special needs are met. They have even attended off campus couseling sessions with our family to help our latest addition succeed. We couldnt be happier!
